What methods are there to fix up a hardwood floor?
I know you can refinish a hard wood floor by sanding and thus, but what are the other options? I have a hardwood floor that is a little scuffy, but there aren’t any stains on it or moisture damage. I was thinking about going the route of refinishing them, but I thought there might be another option. Any opinions on what else I can do to make the floor look newer or better without re-sanding?’
BTW, I love this forum. Everyone here is so patient and knowledge. Many thanks in advance.

There is a process called screening/refinish that isn't as invasive as an outright sanding/refinish.
Take a look at this:

A maintenance coat of finish is what you want as Calvin suggests - the floor is scuffed up and another coat or two of finish is applied. It's much better on your floor than resanding every half dozen years since a floor can only be sanded so many times before being replaced.
Hardwood floor fix
I work for a large school system and we screed hardwood floors in our 11 gym's regularly each summer and refinish them. We use a round floor buffer with a black plastic screed from our local supplier. This gives the floor some tack for the finish and takes up any marks in the floor. You dont have to go over it very heavy unless your floor is real marked up. Of course it should be cleaned before doing this. We then use a 14" micro fiber bar to lay the finish on. Weve made a container out of a old shop vac with 1/4" ball valves to distribute the fiinish evenly in a line the length of the floor. You could just pour it out in a gallon bottle and have someone follow behind with the micro bar at a angle. It puts on a really smooth finish that looks great.
