I have to admit it's easy to put off reconciling balance sheet accounts (other than the depository account) until just before they're due at the CPA's office.
It can also be a PITA to properly track petty cash, but it's gotta be done.

I often end up going through several bank statements at a time myself, but I completely neglect the capital improvement forms. I don't know why, I think I'm just so happy to get paid I overlook it. then later I say "sh.t, I forgot that form again. Do you think it would be ok to send to them later and ask them to fill out and mail back?

You're not the only one who hates the paperwork. I generally procrastinate for more time than it actually takes to do my bookkeeping.
