Just finishing my walkin shower. Used nonsanded grout for the walls. Thinking of using sanded on the mosaic tile on the floor. Any advise on the using sanded vs nonsanded? Thanks Brent

*I typically use sanded grout on joints 1/8" wide and wider and non-sanded on smaller joints. As Joe mentioned...make sure your tile wont scratch but assuming the tile is rated for floor use it should be OK. Sand adds strength to the grout. Mix with a latex additive and seal the joints after curing time recommended by the sealer manufacturer.Dave
*If you get a modified grout, such as Custom's Polyblend, the most common on the west coast, do NOT use any additives. They are already in the grout mix.
*Good point...read the directions on the bag!!

*Joseph:My Polyblend Sanded Tile Grout box says:Combine el relleno con agua limpia y fresca y mezcla hasta que adquiera consistencia cremosa y tersa. No use aditivos. Plain as the nose on my face.On the front of the box features listed include:Polymer-modified---just add waterPerhaps there is a difference in sanded/nonsanded, Poly may come either with or without additive, then again, you like I have trouble accepting the word "not", as in "not possible", "not enough money", or "not another whatnot honey?!"
