I recently decided that I have a over large collection of disused machines such as a Shopsmith my father bought in 1958, a 4″ jointer (all cast iron), and Elu miter saw and a Delta (PC) Sawbuck Frame and Trim Saw and that I would like to not have to store them any longer. They all provided good service in the past so I recently pulled the sawbuck out of my storage unit to use on a recent project. I was thinking that it might be useful to somone else, perhaps someone just statrting out who could not afford something new. So it came as a great suprise after not having used the thing for 9-10 yrs just how bad it was; big, awkward, heavy and inaccurate. Then one of the legs broke of the foldig stand. It was as though the carpenter gods had decreed that the wretched thing must go. And so it will. It is made mostly of aluminum so should fetch a good price at the salvage yard. The same fate awaits the others but I will entertain other suggestions.

Definitely.
Pile the stuff you don't want at the end of the driveway, post a photo of the pile on craigslist along with the address, and title it "CURB ALERT!".
Free, only $20!
Friend of mine told me he once put an old shop vac at the curb with a "Free" sign on it. No one did. Then he put a "$20" sign on it. It was stolen.
