I ordered a print subscription to Fine Homebuilding back in July 2022. I knew from the FAQs that it could take 4-6 weeks for the first issue to arrive, but it’s almost October now and I haven’t diddly-squat. I live in Winnipeg, Canada and receive other subscriptions from the States without problems (e.g. National Geographic). Customer service has been quite unhelpful, most recently suggesting that my country might be on a Suspended Delivery list. I checked the list, despite how bizarre the idea of the US freezing delivery to its northern neighbour seems, and sure enough there’s no Canada listed. They also suggested that my mail was being intercepted, which is also unlikely since I have a locked community mailbox.
After the pointless interactions (and slow responses) from customer service and the fact that I found someone with a similar experience with Fine Woodworking (see: https://www.finewoodworking.com/forum/when-do-i-get-my-magazine), I’m beginning to suspect that I’ve been had.
I suspect posting in a forum is something of a hail mary, but I figured I’d give it a try and see if people had any thoughts.
