I am ready to start installing aluminum for trim around windows and also wood fascia.My question is in my area i have seen contractors install the vinyl coated aluminum coil stock on the wood fascia and the plain white aluminum on the window trim.is there a reason for this?which one would hold up better or use both?I have a brake.Thanks in advance.also wanted to know i am installing 3/8 inch fanfold over sheathing……..do I install it first before installing the aluminum wrapped wood trim or after?do I need to install house wrap over the 3/8 fanfold?Thanks

Why are you installing fanfold over sheathing? The purpose of fanfold is to provide a flat nailing surface over existing siding -- the insulation value is negligible. Your effort/money would be better spent on housewrap/rain screen.

I am using fanfold to level the surface area.......not plywood sheathing.any idea on other questions I posted?
