I will be roofing a new shop this spring. Without going into too much detail about the project I am soliciting opinions on what brand of ice and water shield to use. I will be covering the entire roof surface with the ice and water shield and applying steel standing seam roofing material on top of it. The roof deck will be 5/8″ OSB.
On my house I used Carlisle WIP 300HT which is a good product and worked well on that installation. But on the shop I am looking for other less expensive options. The WIP 300HT is $140.00 for a 200 Sq. Ft. roll. The other option Is Owens Corning Weather Lock at the same coverage but almost half that cost, $80.00 for 200 Sq. Ft. coverage. If anyone has used the Owens Corning product is it an okay choice? And are there any complaints about it?
