i owned a bosch a few years back, dont remember the model but did not hold up well, brushes went way to soon. replaced them and not more than a yr later same thing... tossed it and got a hilti. Have never owned a dewalt one so no help with that line.
Based on a FHB review a couple years back I picked the DeWalt and absolutley love it. It sees equal time driving large Timberlox and small hardware screws. It has the perfect balance of shear brute force and finesse. I also have the little DeWalt driver that is our punchlist hero. I have never owned a Bosch drill or driver so I am not sure about them. I know that the DeWalt stuff I own has been pretty bullet proof though.
thanks mark122 and finefinish for your opinions, i think both impact drivers are similar, and i will not be disapointed if I buy Bosch or DeWALT, but I'm also considering Metabo SBE 1300, which has the biggest output power 790 Nm
Bosch GSB 21-2 RCT is a hammer drill as well as the DeWALT DWD530KS. So I vote NEITHER ONE. An impact driver is another beast.
The one your looking at is probably better quality, but ive been using this impact driver and its held up very well. Probably on the cheaper side as well. What kind or work are you going to be doing?
Dewalt brushless
I don't know the model number right off - I recently bought a Dewalt kit that had brushless models of a impact driver and drill.
The impact driver is great!
Terry.

The Bosch PS-40 is a very compact impact driver, one that easily fits in a cargo pocket or tool vest. Don't let the small size fool you; that little 12v. battery has plenty of life.
Bosch also has a comparably sized drill / hammer-drill that uses the same batteries.
Or, if you prefer, Milwaulkee has competing models.
Bigger isn't always a plus.
Hey all, this post is 2 month old... I am guessing our friend made a decision on this awhile ago. Maybe not though...
