What would you recommend? I won’t use it everyday, but don’t expect I’ll ever buy another one either.
Have read about some problems with the new Bostich, though my cabinet maker recommended it highly. Haven’t heard anything bad about the PC. I’m thinking since I’ll only have one, that I’d want to go 1 1/2″.
And yes, I already have a finish nailer and a pinner.

I have a PC. Works well, light weight. No problems with it, but I'm not sure it will take 1½" staples. I also have a Senco, can't see any real difference except the price.
What are you going to need such long staples for? You might want something wider for that length.

IMO, go Senco. I love my SLS20 narrow crown.
"I'd want to go 1 1/2"." Do you mean 1 & 1/2" leg length on the staples or did you get an extra "1" in there and mean you would go with a gun that shoots 1/2" crown staples?
my senco goes from 3/4 to 1-5/8'ths. Reliable tool. Never a problem.

I've got a Paslode light duty narrow crown, love it.
Spend the extra couple of bucks on the name brand staples and spare yourself some jamb time.

one of my working buddy's has the PC.
Nice cheap gun.....not a problem that I know of.
thinking Senco has a oil-less version now.

Thanks for the input guys. I went with the Senco SLS18. I looked at the PC and the Bostich, but the Senco just felt more solid, plus there was a $10 rebate on staples. Used it today and it works great. I think any of the three would be OK -- guess it just comes down to a matter of preference, and what feels right in your hands.
Again, thanks to you all.
