I just did a search with nothing worthwhile to my question.
I wear prescription glasses, so I have trouble finding something comfortable etc to wear over them.
suggestions on safety glasses that can be worn over prescription glasses?

Hello,
You might consider getting a pair of glasses made for active sporting events. I know Bolle (and others) make glasses that are comfortable to wear all day, have distortion free interchangeable lenses in everything from clear to mirrored and have a nose piece that you can have corrective lenses installed.
I've had good luck with my Oakely M-Frames. Interchangeable lenses, excellent eye coverage and protection. I'm not sure the nose piece for corrective lenses is available in that model.

Choices:
1) get perscription safety glasses (the wings are removeable and they come in fairly nice styles now).
2) "Saftey Overglasses". Lee Valley, among others, sell them. My father was just given a tinted pair by his eye doctor to protect his eyes after surgury (they don't require glasses, they can be used by themselves too). They come in clear or tint, are adjustable, and are reasonably priced. They are also becoming popular among some of my chef friends.
3) The ubiquitous "plant goggles", some of which are designed to go over glasses.
4) Various face shields, including the kind that attaches to a hard-hat.

I'm using a pair of overglasses that have the letters "FPI" on them, standing for "Federal Prison Industries".
Not exactly fashionable, UVEX has the nicest I've seen.
Try Uvex http://www.uvex.com/ .......... I seem to recall they had a product like your looking for.
http://www.safetyglassesusa.com/index.html is an online source with many manufacturers, and more styles than you can think about.
Has anyone used "protective optics" or "wiley-x" safety glasses? I have been tired of using cheap safety glasses for some time. I can't seem to get a good fit and don't like the flimsy construction. I couldn't find anything between the <$10 >$100 (oakley, bolle, etc.). The aforementioned seem to fit the bill, but before dropping $50 I would like to know if they are worth it.
