Which trade to add vents for bathroom plumbing and fan in roof?
My energy efficiency guy crawled into the attic and found that the 3rd floor bathroom vent has a vent that points out the gable vent, and it looks like the plumbing vent terminates inside the unvented attic space.
I’m pissed my inspector didn’t see this but alas…
What trade(s) do I need to put the plumbing vent on the roof and the bathroom fan vent termination on either the roof or side of house? Vents would be near the top of the 12/12 roof on my 2.5 story house.
(I just need the end vents that penetrate the envelope, and I can hook them up myself.) Also, I’m considering just using a AAV in the unvented attic, even though this is in MA.
Any concerns other than code violation? e.g. is an AAV likely to freeze and be non-functioning in low temps?

What is an AAV?
Amphibious assault vehicle
Thank You. I've been searching the net for the meaning. I thought AAVs were pretty big. Is there a small version that will fit in the attic?
You need a roofer then a plumber or someone with multiple trades skills. Air admittance valves need air. That’s why you can’t bury them in a wall. I don’t think an unventilated attic is ideal. It will suck air in from somewhere, probably drawing cold air in from leaks in your envelope or warm air in from your house.
