Whistling hot water heater

The new 50 gallon electric water heater we just put in in a new house gets into whistling every now and then.I dont mean really air escaping but an interior high pitched sound definitely coming from inside the tank and around the upper element ?

      *Was your cat around when you did the install? Have you seen your cat since the install? If you answer "yes" to the first and "no" to the second, then simply ignore the sound. Do flush the tank in a few months, though.
