Actually, you did post it earlier. :)
Nice work.

Wow. That's really an eyeful. Is that a microwave in the peninsula? Is there a 1/2 susan to the right of the range, or is that dead space, or what?
I'd like to look at the mantle, but I don't want to wait for 500 something KBs to load. Can you repost those shots smaller?
Microwave, yes, 1/2L/S, yes. I will re-size the mantle and A/V unit and re-post. Thanks for the compliment
Dave
Here's the mantle and A/V unit. Hope it's small enough.
That's not a compliment, Dave, that's the truth. Very nice work, way nicer than anything I've ever built.
You have your own shop? Work alone? With a crew? Tell it all, brother.
Thanks again. I have my own shop and use a couple extra hands when work is brisk. I worked on crews building houses for over 20 years, and ended my "career" as a finish carp with a higher end company about 10 years ago. I had to quit because 1. My body was beginning to feel it a bit too much, especially my ankles, and 2. I had so much side work, I was working two shifts 5 days a week. So I took the obvious choice. I had been gathering machinery for about 10 years before that with intentions on the change anyway. I also build custom furniture, but it is very architecturaly influenced because of my background. I don't do much artsy studio stuff, that is. I live a few miles from Woodstock,NY, where I grew up.I'm 47. :^}
Look at that frikkin' bandsaw! 36"?
You got your own spray room? Sub your finishing out? Was that a gallon of Parks waterborne polyurethane I saw on the bench in the shop?
The saw is a 32" Crescent I picked up a few years ago. I have another building 20x50 which has a finish room along with a good size space for final assembly. I don't recall whats on the bench, but it wouldn't be Parks urethane.
Very nice looking shop, the open wheel on the band saw gives me the heepy geebys though
I thought so at first too, but as long as you keep your wits about you, it's not so bad. I have made patterns for guards, and I found some of the appropriate material at the dump to make gaurds with, I just have to find the time to put them together.
After I posted the second time, I found the first one. Sorry about wasting the space.
Since I already left you kudos over at Knots on your work, I won't do a repeat here, but let me add that your shop location is postcard pretty.
Thanks for all the pics.
Yeah, I'm pretty comfy in there. I spend a great amount of time in that building.
