Hey everybody,
Just curious how things work in your neck of the woods when it comes to paint touch ups at the end of a build.
In some places it’s the painter’s problem and in other places it’s the GC’s problem and so on. Personally I think each trade should be responsible for any touch ups they require.

The only thing that I had done after painting was flooring. If there was significant damage caused by installers they knew they would be paying painters to touch up. Most of the time, I picked up a brush and was done in 10 minutes.
If you’re talking who does the touch up, best use the painter or prepare to get a dumbfounded look by said painter after the fact.
They are responsible for their part of the job. If they bill the contractor (doubtful if a good relationship), he’s figured that and has it covered.
The moment you or some sub touches their job, you own it.
Most painters want to be the last one on the job.
That’s been my experience, painters are the last ones. The ones we use said they would touch up all the places the movers messed up as it was part of their cost estimate.
