Why Dewalt Angle Grinders Req Bushings

Why do Dewalt Angle Grinders require a bushing to use a diamond blade. My blade fits just fine with a good contact to the grinder and the large diameter retaining nut. The only thing I can think of is it centers the blade in the guard.
Any ideas?
You buy a cheap tool twice and then you’re still stuck with a cheap tool!

Ive got three DW angle grinders and they are all different .
So it depends on which grinder youre talking about putting a diamond blade on. One it doesnt need anything to hold the blade .

The same is true of Milwaukee grinders. Using diamond blades is so common that I can't believe you have to mess around with different nuts etc. to get the right combination to use with a thin diamond blade.
