Whoa- That is scary looking. Did they have to cut the mixer off to get that thing out of there? I hope nobody is under that mess. That is something.
*Didn't anyone warn you that those forms would blow out if you placed that much concrete too fast?
*I bet the headlines and story read...ROOKIE DRIVER DUMPS LOAD THE HARD WAY Anytown, USA- Rookie concrete truck driver Gilligan Tippemover, wrecked havoc today on his first delivery on the first day of his new job. "They never showed me exactly how to empty the drum so I kinda figured you just eased it back and let it tip out? I think I just eased back a little too far?" Upon learning of the drum having a large screw-like device which "threads" the mix out of the truck when the drum is rotated, Tippemover responded, "No kidding! Ever since I was a kid I wondered how they got it out of there?! Thats pretty cool." Tippemover was originally going to be charged with reckless driving and handling a Class C vehicle without due care but after explaining to vehicular authorities how the BEEP BEEP BEEP scared him when he had it in reverse, the novice operator was let off with just a warning.
*yeah, yeah he can't drive. They used about four towtrucks and a crane all at the same time.An interesting aside; A Gentleman farmer built this, dried in the house in 1988 and it sat unfinished until two years ago. The house was stout and finished out very nice. The wood used was exceptional. That basement is my next project.
*I wonder if they were ever able to get the smell out of the cab?
*I wish I had pictures of the one that went in the water at the ferry. Seems to happen about every ten or twelve years. Someone on the ferry crew will forgewt to tie off and secure to the pole. Then a large truck comes down the ramp and hits the brakes when he gets the front axle on the boat. The ferry boat slides away from the ramp with the driver wondering which way to jump. It's kind of like the move wherre you get one foot on the dock and one in the boat while you practice that old cheerleaders move called the splits.
*David- Looks like the truck had a load when it flipped. If a load hardens, it's time for a new vessel. -Ken
*I think they wased it out and then poured over it for the floor slab...
Andy,I will probably quit coming to breaktime. How is it that everyone else can see the picture but I can't?
