I just finished my first sheet vinyl flooring installation in my own home bathroom. It went great and was as easy as I hoped it would be.
The instructions that came with the installation kit said in a couple of places to roll the vinyl pattern side out, even the final time before laying in the room, which made it difficult to unroll and shuck around into place. Why would it have be incorrect to roll it pattern side in for bringing it into the room for final placement?

After you lay it, it's going to try to go back to its original position, due to memory. It was rolled pattern side in not long after it was produced and will want to stay in that position.
