If you post a pic, wait till you get a message that the file is uploaded. It takes some time to happen.
You got skills.
Big-time skills.
I love stuff like that. It's unexpected and it makes you wonder "how the heck id he do that?"
You and Roger need to open a slate/shingle art show at the local art gallery. With the stuff you two create, I feel compelled to show up and drink wine with my pinky finger properly extended.
Nice work!

John,
You're right.
I asked him over from a slate roofing site.
Walter
Oops!
Not a problem, Liam is a very talented younger man who I thought would be well received here.
Yum!
Forrest
I've seen that in cedar, but to do it in slate, man that's impressive.
Pretty impressive not only from the artisic/visual angle but the engineering/mechanical angle.
To post pics that are posted somewhere else just copy/paste.

Chuck Slive, work, build, ...better with wood
Wilde Deckung a Old German Style of slate installation. This slate style is a very time consuming installation every slate is cut one time on the groung then some of the slate is cut again to fit to different details. Many months of just cutting slate. All lower roofs are 21in / 20oz copper Standing Seam. Many details to come. Along with a glassed in green house/ sun room. This job will be done mid to late summer.

Very nice work.http://grantlogan.net/
But you all knew that. I detailed it extensively in my blog.
Wow.
I am humbled by your skills. WOW!
I read that you have been working and adapting all along but how much of what you have done so far was planned out in advance.
The second set of pictures were equally impressive.
Keep posting, and welcome to the show!
ciao, ted
Ted, This project was design by myself and the owner with no Architect at all. The owner is there daily. The builder and there carpentry's have had all other design input for this home. The roof was going to be a typical slate roof system, intill I got the job, and help to develop the roof design from info in book and the web.

Hi All,
thanks for the bump!
I actually logged on last week to see this but didn't get time to post. Was being audited by the revenue commissioners (government Tax agency). I came out clean as I expected!
MAN those photos are something else, I've never seen slatework done like that & to be honest I'm not sure I'd have the patients either!
I take my hat off to you Slateman, that work is really something to be proud off, it reminds me of Gaudi architecture in Barcelona.
Please post more of your work
that house has to be owned by a roofer

This house isn't own by a roof, just some one with good taste. Just don't ask to see the turtle!
