I am installing casing in a 1950’s brick cape cod, where the was only a drywall return beforehand. What style of casing would be historioally accurate? And does anyone know of a resource showing the various casing styles?

My 40's cape had a variety of molding similar to colonial, but much sharper and higher quality than available now. Unfortunately painted over many times and hacked up.
50's probably had ranch clamshells.
