Is there any reason why I would want to use Tyvek brand window flashing instead of some other(such as Grace)? The Tyvek is over twice the cost of Grace and I can’t really see much difference, aside from the Flextape that Tyvek makes.

I watched Mike Gertin install a window flashing at a JLC Live show yesterday and he used the grace Vicor tape for the flat sill and then used a short piece of tyvec flextape to do the corners. He mentioned that each of the 12 inch pieces he stretched around the corners was about a dollar but it worked the best for corners. He used the Vicor on the sides too. He showed how to make a corner with the vicor but it doesn't stretch as much so he cuts to within an inch of the window corner and just sretches it a little.
