Does anyone know if there is a window (and who makes it) that could be installed in a crawl space vent hole? Hmm .. 8×16″ I think.
Maybe a hopper style with a screen on the inside. A window that can be opened from the outside.
Actually, I could care less about the glass portion. I’m really after something that seals like a window (rather than the typical crawlspace vent) but can be opened and is screened when opened.

Go to a glass block supplier and see what they have in their hopper windows that they include in the premade windows.
A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

Aha! I hadn't thought of that! I've seen glass block walls with little awning/hopper windows (first one that comes to mind was used to seal up a former coal chute). I'll give that a try.

Nothing with so much 'character' that I might have trouble selling it in a couple years :)

I have to admit, when I first saw your post, re:crawlspace wdw', I pictured someone someone getting in the crawl, snuggling up to just the right vent window and reading wind in the willows. I [In their best Garrison Keilorr voice you know. sounds to me that you just need good quality thermostatic foundation vents, know they have to be installed correctly. jim
