A couple want me to build them a small house/shed around their well that looks like there old farmhouse.
6′ wide, 8′ long (with 2′ of that being the front “porch”) and 5′ at the eaves. It will have a metal 7/12 roof. And, they wanted lap masonite siding – but I’ve converted them to Hardiboard to prevent rot.
No problem so far. But, she wants a small metal window on each side. Problem is that the smallest I can find around here is 2×2 which will take up a disproportionate amount of space on the 6’x5′ sidewalls. I think it would just look bad.
I thought about framing in a plexiglass window. But, local builders supply suggested just using a sash framed in on each side. Good idea, cheap, but still measures 18″x27.”
Any suggestions or info about where I can get a small window on-line or somewhere?

Fixed OK? Anybody can make a non-operable frame. Glass gets cut as small as you want. I favor weatherstripping from Resource Conservation Technology in Baltimore.

What about like in the old days with 'cusstom vans'. Maybe get a porthole window from a custom van place. Perhaps a 'half moon' shape, give the little building the appearance of being an out house?
