Window install into a stucco wall. Trying reuse the interior blinds
Hello I am going to attempt replacing windows in a stucco wall and reusing the existing interior blinds.
Question 1- on the existing window will there be a nail fin all around ? They are wood Indal windows with aluminum exterior.
Question 2- how do I prepare the opening ( water proofing ) before installing the new window.
Thanks in in advance for the advice.

Even if the existing windows don't have a flange the new windows will. You'll have to cut the stucco back about 8 inches all around and if the stucco is on lath you'll want to save it. It's a very tedious process. Once you're down to the sheathing you can install the windows using flashing tape or a brush grade sealant. Once that's done you can patch the stucco back.
Why are you replacing aluminum clad wood windows? What sort of window are you using for replacement?
