window shutters

ORV | Posted in General Discussion on April 13, 2005 07:35am

Can anyone give me advice or suggest any resources to help me design some window shutters to spice up the look of my otherwise very plain house?  It is an older house with Aluminum siding and no trim around the windows.  I thought some fake shutters would help to break up the monotany of my single color house, but I have no idea where to find any interesting designs or how to figure out reasonable proportions.

Thanks

I don't get it, is the picture file size too big?  My apologies.  I've posted a smaller one here.

        >> ... is the picture file size too big?Only for people with dialup access. Minimum download time would be nearly two minutes. 53K is much more reasonable.

I think your house looks very nice, but I'm sure you're right, it could use a little color to give it some life. I'd use two shades, lighter above, and a little darker below, on the horizontal siding, then a white or very light trim (fascia). (I personally don't like fake shutters.)
