First-time owner-builder here. I’ve done a fair amount of finish carpentry, cabinet making, etc. Floors are in, so now it’s time to start the finish work. The client (me) decided late that we want window stools. Of course we ordered (and installed) Pella windows before we made that decision. Any hints on how to install a stool when the window already has jamb extensions installed by the factory?

same way aas if you had not ordered extensions.
Glue, clamps, and nails or trimhead screws

Excellence is its own reward!
I used to install for Pella in Calgary, Canada. The guys at the shop put the jamb extensions on with a 1/4" crown stapler. At the jobsite I had to rip them off and put longer ones on a few times, it was simple. Just pull the current extensions off, the all the new jamb extensions with the same reveal all around to hide the staple marks.

Thanks for all the quick responses! I'll try to pull the bottom jamb off one of the windows. If it looks okay, I'll go that way with the rest of them. If not, I'll just install the stools with a reveal. Jeff
Don't pull the whole dam jamb off! Just the extension

I have just removed the bottom jamb peice and replaced it with the stool. No need to pull the top and sides off to.
