We are considering installing Windsor Windows in our new custom built home in California. I have read some discouaging threads that talk about leaking and other problems with these windows. Our window installer is a friend and highly reccomends these windows. We are looking at the Pinnacle Aluminum Clad windows with natural Alder on the inside. Anyone have any experience with these windows or advice? Thanks.

No direct experience with them, but I did get a quote on them for curiosity's sake. They are a mid-range window in terms of quality, according to my window dealer. For the project I am doing the Windsors would have been ~$5000 and the Loewen that we went with were ~$8000. I would absolutely get the best window you can afford, and would probably use a vinyl window instead of a lower-end wood unit.
