I live in an old farmhouse. One of the many projects I’ve come up with is to winterize the breezeway joining the house to the garage. What would be the best way to insulate the floor with the possibility of a radiant system in the farther future? The floor is a slab with footings 3-4′ deep. I’m thinking that wrapping the footings and floor surface with 2″ foil faced foam; and then a plywood deck for a sub floor, would be a good start. I would want to route PVC through the foam to provide a future chase to the garage. The skin of the breezeway is less an issue- that seems to be straightforward.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Don
