Thanks for that link. The self-generating/no batteries feature is interesting. They don't mention the specific frequencies used or what kind of encoding the receiver signal has. I've played around with X-10 line and wireless controls for the past ten years and my conclusion is they are too unreliable, even with repeaters and phase bridges. Modern electronic ballasts in CFLs are cheaply made and they put lots of RF noise on power lines and into the air. Maybe these devices can overcome that interference - only a real world test will tell.
