Prospective customer requesting application of Wolman, acrylic I believe, to seal PTW deck. Customer pleased in the past-I’ve never used but am comfortable if customer is…any opinions? Best,LRZ. By the way-to all in the Northeast:Isn’t the sun a gorgeous sight!

If it's the same Wolman product I had put on my deck (sounds like it) it will last (bead water) for a year or two - that's about it.
BTW, it will make the deck
i very
slippery for some time. Like when he has to clean out his gutters and has to put the ladder on the deck, he'll need a 2 x 4 w/angle braces down through the deck joint to keep it from slipping. Don't ask me why I know this ... (no it was someone else)
*Why not use Wolmanized treated lumber to begin with?Wolman makes CCA treated lumber that is presealed with Wolman sealant. All you do is install the lumber and go home. Sealant is already done. It costs a little bit more, but the cost differential is less than the labor and material to seal the deck once you build it. This would save you from having to go through the hassle and mess of sealing the deck, and save the customer from having to go through it also.Just a thought...James DuHamel
