I’ve been asked to look into istalling a wood floor on an existing garage slab on grade. I know how to test forr moisture by taping down a piece of plastic. I have no idea what the conditions are under the slab or at the edges.
I am located in central N.C. so freezing is not a big issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the garage being converted to living space? I would do an engineered wood with a trowelled on adhesion. Otherwise vapor barrier and fur up with sleepers and plywood. Hope the garage roll up door doesn't get left open...
