Hello all,

I am looking to replace my front entry deck this summer. I planning on using pressure treated pine for the subframe and decking (painted once dried). Is this the way to go?

Also, I’d like to replace the newals and railings which show signs of rot. These will be painted as well. What type of wood would you recommend for this?

I’ve attached some pictures of the existing deck.
