I’m looking to replace an old franklyn wood burning stove in a country cabin in no. Calif. Winter climate is cold and wet with only very occasional snow. Cabin is pretty leaky with minimal insulation and is about a 1600 sq feet 2 story with 2nd floor open to first. Back bedrooms and bath of downstairs stay quite cold even when the franklyn is blazing. Upstairs no problem. Any suggestions about make and model for this situation and ways to move the heat to the rear of the downstairs? Cordwood is plentiful (madrone and tanoak). Thanks for any ideas and suggestions
