Does anybody have a recommendation of what to use to make a wooden drawer in a chest slide in and out easier? Does wax work? if so, what kind? Not enough room for a teflon pieces… Thanks….

Yes, wax works. Plain parafin, or Butcher's wax, or I use a product called Slip-it that is formulated for woodworking and tool coatings.

Rubbing the rails with a bar of hand soap.
White graphite powder. Slicker than a 3 handed polotician
IIRC soap will draw moisture. Wax.

another reason I stopped using soap to lube screws......just a little wax on the threads so it won't impact surface for finishing.

the Leevalley tape works fine , i used it on the wifes cupboard drawers & been in use a few years now , no problems
The old-time solution was candle wax. Bound to be something better now, but I don't know what.
Which candle wax? parafin or beeswax?

When I was a kid we used whatever candle was at hand. I suspect most were made with a mixture of the two.

Lots of things work...soap,wax(any kind),olive oil, motor oil, Vagisil...
Iron-on veneer tape for melamine also works well.
Expert since 10 am.
I would not use soap, wax, or grease. They will eventually get gummy and dirty. Clean the wood of dust and dirt and stick this on the drawer frame. I have used them a bunch of times and they work well.
