Hey Folks has any one out there ever installed wood mode cabinets. I just got the cabinets for the new house i’m doing and see some different installation things i haven’t seen before , like plastic inserts on the edge of the upper cabinets for hanging of a track it seems . All the parts and boxes are still in wrapper so I may be jumping the gun asking and it will most likely all make sense when we have them all open but it never hurts to ask . Cabinets are full overlay . Base cabinets have like a v groove in the back like they want you to angle the screw . Any ways if any one out there has any experience with them let me know . Cabinets were bought in Florida by the customer so kitchen designer is there also and can only be talked to by phone and he seems a little snooty right from the get go . Any help would be appreciated Thanx in advance Maguire

The rail system is "QSR" and comes in a 10 ft length.
84 series wall cabinets come with both conventional hanger rails and with hanger brackets. To hang the cabinets in the usual way, screw through the hanger rails into the wall studs.
To use the hanger brackets, order support rail "QSR". The wall support rail can be leveled and fastened to the studs. You can then hang the cabinets from the rail.
Leave at least 3/4" clear above the wall cabinets so they can be lifted up and set down onto the rail.
Its a hidden fastener system.
Last Woodmode I did was about 8 years ago. Order was screwed up and it took 6 months to get and another 3 to correct the mistakes. After seeing how the cabinets were built, just like Mills Pride from HD, I now build all my own. Great finish on the outside but way over priced for what it is.

Thanx US I talked with the designer today and he told me the track and hanger system was a European method and he didn't send the track and the cabinets come with through bolts but they don't usually use them so I guess we are back to usual hanging method . Thanks for your input , much appreciated !! Maguire
Don't you love those snooty designers. Ask him if he either made or designed the cabinets. Or if he is just a salesman.
