A coupla weeks ago I was asking if anyone knew of a big neoangle… at least 48 x 48 one piece shower surround.
I found lotsa bases … for neoangle with the 3 sided doors …
But I needed the 2 back walls … and the 2 little side walls … with one piece of glass at the front door.
A thorough net search landed just 2 .. one without a name/number….
This is what we ended up with. Just the ticket … and 49 x 49 …..
Jeff
it’s in now …thought I had a pic sitting on the base, guess not …

Where did you locate that? I may want something similar for my place when I get around to building it...
Do you normally run basement retrofit plumbing above the slab? We're going to be putting in a basement bath but were planning on a full tear out of the slab in that area. I thought the toilet on a platform may be a bit odd (but then again, maybe appropriate being a throne and all... ;o)
No ... not at all.
This basement had the rough in's set by the original builder ... only problem was.... they really couldn't be made to work with any logical layout. The floor also has infloor radiant heat.
So replumbing was the only option ... and cutting the forr would make for an expensive option .... and for once in my life.... I saw an architect comeup with a cost and time saving alternative!
The platform idea was run past my plumber .... he said he'd need about 7 inches of height to catch the slope .....he ran the drain and I built around it. A deck of 2x 8's with a layer of 1/2 ply cleared everything.
We're going to add one nice wide step .... with a non-slip version of the floor tile .. to tie everything together.
I'd have prefered to not elevate the shower ... but in this one case ... it was the only practical solution. The archy didn't even catch the need on the first coupla drawings ... I had to revise the bath to make a coupla things work .... then the HO went back to the archy and they cemented the design.
It's installed now .... I'll try to remember to take a pic tomorrow.
BTW .... it's Clarion Bathware. They have a web site .... though the worlds biggest shower surround isn't listed in their old books. It's a brandy-new product. I had to give the local distributor the model number and description so he could call Clairon to get the prices and specs.
