Zone 4a on slab – any guides on a wall assembly?
My house is slab on grade built in the mid 70’s. I am saving for new windows and siding and I would love to use this as an opportunity to increase the tightness of my home. Rigid foam on the exterior, house wrap, proper sealing butt joints on sheathing, the whole shebang.
Does anyone have a good wall assembly for Zone 4a(Mid Atlantic)? I hear and see a lot of discussion on vapor barrier / vapor retarder and which side of the wall to have it on. I also really want to understand sealing the slab bottom plate connection. I didn’t know if anyone on the FHB forum/blog had a good guide since I assume wall assemblies change based on your area/zone.
Thanks in advance.
