Cutting Curves in Marble with a Ring-Blade Wet Saw
This specialized tile saw makes quick work of shaping stone and glass tiles.
Tom Meehan demonstrates how he cuts a curve in a marble tile for a shower threshold, aided in no small part by his Revolution XT ring-blade saw. The Revolution XT is the only saw of its kind: Its blades have no center and are driven from the outside, allowing for tight radiuses, if needed. This specialty saw allows you to make quick work of shaping tiles.
Not ready for a Revolution? Watch Tom cut a curve in a tile using his wet saw, a grinder, and nippers. And, to learn how Tom used the tiles he cut in the video for a curved shower, read Glass-Block Shower on a Curve from Fine Homebuilding issue #200 (December 2008/January 2009), pp. 58-61.
