The Beginnings | Our Founder
As master craftsman and founder, furniture has been my life. I started working in the industry while in college and never looked back. Mastering speciality finishes on nights and weekends, I founded my first custom furniture company in 1993 in Winston-Salem NC. Back then, furniture makers, large and small, made furniture pretty much their way, and that’s the way it was. Custom changes in size & color outside of what they offered could be expensive, if offered at all. So a new way of doing things was born and would eventally culminate in what folks today know as the Fable Porch series by March Legend ®. We are the original custom country & cottage furniture company.
