Stephen Earp produces a type of traditional pottery known as “Redware,” the domestic earthen pottery made between the 17th and 19th centuries.
Stephen Earp Redware has been included in the annually issued National Directory of Traditional Arts since 2007. He is a 2008 MCC Traditional Arts Fellow Finalist. Earp’s work was inducted into the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s Keepers of the Tradition archive in 2009. Earp maintains a syndicated blog about pottery history called “This Day In Pottery History.”
