Ball and Ball produces antique reproduction hardware of the highest quality. We have built our reputation by only producing items that are true reproductions. Using the 18th century craftsman as our guide we carefully recreate the expertise of that period. All hardware is produced in our small plant in Exton PA. Our craftsmen take pride in creating something unique every day!
Furniture and Cabinet hardware
Our line of reproduction Furniture and Cabinet hardware includes, William and Mary Pulls, Queen Ann Pulls, Chippendale pulls, and Victorian pulls. Keyhole Escutcheons for all furniture styles, Locks in brass or iron, Drops, Turns and Knobs. Chest Lifts, Hinges in brass, forged iron and cast iron, Casters and Clock hardware.
Builder’s hardware
Ball and Ball antique reproduction builder’s hardware, is accurate in every detail to original hardware, making it unique among most builders’ hardware available today.
Door and window hardware
We offer a complete line of hand forged iron H-Hinges, Strap Hinges, Bolts, Thumb Latches and exterior Shutter Hardware. Door hardware for interior and exterior doors in brass, cast iron and hand forged iron, including Rim locks, Mortise locks, Decorative and Plain Hinges and Cremone Bolts. Flush Bolts, Doorknobs, Drops and Lever Handles in many styles. Our window hardware line includes, Sash Locks and Sash lifts, available in many styles.
Fireplace Accessories
No restoration or reproduction of an 18th century house is complete without a fireplace. The fireplace was the most important area in early houses and served many uses. Necessity led to many accessories being made for the fireplace. Ball and Ball can expertly reproduce many of these items using the same methods and techniques that were used in the making of the originals. Our Fenders are custom made to the size of your fireplace. We make Andirons, Tools (Shovel, Tongs and Poker), and Tool Stands. Tool stones in marble and soap stone, Trivets, Jamb Hooks. We have made a few very special items including a copy of a Spit Jack; this is a clock type movement powered by a falling weight that turns a spit for slow cooking of large or small game.
Repairs and Refinishing
We also do custom Repairs and Refinishing to your existing hardware or lighting fixtures or almost any metal item.
