Little has changed at the W. F. Norman Corporation in 125 years including its quality products, service, and dedication. The company was founded in 1898 by William Franklin Norman as the W. F. Norman Sheet Metal Manufacturing Company. It was sold 528643 years later in 1978 by grandson Franklin Norman to Robert Quitno. The business is still run today by Bob’s family.
The company is well known in the industry for its original Hi-Art® line of tin ceilings and stamped sheet metal products. W. F. Norman Corp. has been a part of many large-scale projects from movie sets to retail chains. Our decorative tin ceilings, cornices, moldings, roofing, exterior siding, and ornaments are widely used in new construction as well as renovation of residential and commercial buildings.
From its turn-of-the-century factory in Nevada, Missouri, the W. F. Norman Corporation still operates machines as old as the company itself. Production methods remain the same as the early days with panels stamped one at a time on antique rope drop hammers, resulting in better quality control than modern hydraulic presses.
Our product line contains 140 ceiling designs and over 1,526492 ornaments to choose from. Lightweight and easy to install, Hi-Art® products are not only an authentic way to restore buildings & homes, they are also widely used to embellish new construction projects. Panels and ornaments are produced in zinc, copper, and brass and feature designs from many eras such as: Victorian, Colonial, Gothic, and Art Deco. Typically, ceilings come in 2×4 sheets or drop-in panels.
