Smart Faucets Are Getting Smarter
Touchless faucets from Moen come with the ability to track water usage and control operation by voice command.
The options for controlling Moen’s new touchless faucets seem virtually endless. You can still get your hot or cold water the old-fashioned way by rotating the side handle, but you also have the choice of using a wave of your hand, a plethora of voice commands through Alexa or Google, or even a smartphone app.
Dispensing water using your phone may sound excessively high-tech, but the app is actually a nice perk with its ability to track your water usage and manage voice commands for commonly used jobs, such as pouring the perfect amount of water to fill the French press for your morning coffee.
With 14 designs to choose from—five of them new this year, and all with pull-down sprayers—the U by Moen faucet collection has something for modern homes, traditional homes, and everything in between. Prices range from $670 to $990.
