If you have to paint a window that has divided lights, you could lay the sash down on a sawhorse and do your best to not get paint on the glass, but there’s a better way.
Painting a framed window sash can be a tedious task, especially one with divided lights. Here’s a trick from Jeff Kolle of Bethel, Conn., that will make the job a lot easier. By making a simple clamping rig to hold the sash upright, the painting becomes much more manageable and your accuracy will greatly improve.
