How to Make a Curved Cut in Tile
Use a tile saw to make a series of straight cuts to the curved layout line, knock out any slivers of tile, and then clean up the curve with tile nippers.
Most tile jobs require a few curved cuts, especially if you’re working around plumbing in a bathroom. These partial-circle cuts are much easier and quicker to make than you might think, even with a tile saw that is designed to only make straight cuts.
Start by tracing your curve on to the tile. Then, from the exterior edge make a series of straight cuts to your layout line. Next, knock out the slivers of tile that remain. Finally, clean up the curve with tile nippers.
