Would you be able to direct me to another article or reference where Mr. Meehan discusses when to use a fabric membrane beyond just the shower pan? In this series he used the Schluter Kerdi membrane for the pan and then the Hydro Ban for the niche and area beneath the shower head. What about the remaining wall areas? From the videos it seems that he just placed the tile directly on top of the Durarock walls. I'm assuming that's acceptable since it's a vertical surface and it's not a steam shower, correct?
