I felt like I was missing out on the family fun when I was cooking in the kitchen! So we removed the wall between the kitchen and living room/dining room areas to open it up as a great room. Everything came out of the kitchen, including plumbing and wiring, and then we put in all new flooring, walls, ceilings, cabinets. Still to be added: homemade backsplash tiles.
