This old farmhouse kitchen was really a challange. The old ceiling consisted od 3 layers added over the years and was used as storage for old junk and furnace parts etc. The room was built over a dirt crawl space with only about 2 feet of clearance which made it difficult for plumbing, heating and electrical installations. Walls were rough construction and were not anywheres near true or plumb, and full or poured insulation. Fabricated scissor trusses in place to create the desired vaulted ceiling. Trued up all walls, installed new windows and insulated. Teriffic transformation.
