We loved the Cottage and location, as rustic as it was, we had a vision of updating without losing the charm and originality from the 30s. My wife and I gutted the place and replaced everything, creating a full bath using the original tub and creating new structure including a loft and a second 1/2 bath. All new plumbing, electric and HVAC, insulating walls and replacing 8 fixed windows with thermalpane sash were done. Also a rear entry Dutch door was custom made. Endless updates including a basement workshop where the old oil furnace lived, replaced by a horizontal gas furnace in the crawlspace.
