Our company, Heartland Construction was hired to completely renovate a 1930’s two bedroom 940 square foot rental in El Cerrito, Ca. The tenant had been living in the house for 20+ years but never threw anything away nor did he ever clean or maintain anything. It was a frightening sight. We filled two 24 foot trucks with all the junk. That said the final projects results might not win any design awards but we feel we did a great job putting this rental back on the market on a very very tight budget.

These photographs are particularly remarkable as they portray every landlord's nightmare very realistically and then are able to offer affordable and attractive transformations. Splendid work and photography!
Having gone through the same nightmare, (see House Next Door) I can fully appreciate the work that went into this transformation. Great job!

Thanks for the feedback Jarchitect! I saw your remodel nightmare last night and was struck by how similar our projects where. The before picture of your kitchen was very very scary. Just cleaning up all the grease, grime and mold was half the battle. Your final design was outstanding. You would never know it was the same Kitchen. I noted many details we could use in our next project.
