As a 30 something couple we are required to tear down walls in order to “open the space up” and then fill said space with the requisite stainless steel appliances. The cook space is small but it really works for us. All the lower cabinets are drawers, the ones that look like double cabinet doors are actually giant drawers.

Home office. The desktop is made from leftover soapstone. The front piece is the rip from the bar top and the back piece is the cutout from the sink.

Soapstone countertops were easy to work with and I used every last scrap of it. I built all the cabinets to match the original built-ins throughout the house.
